The combination of colorectal cancer with pregnancy; even if its incidence is raising due to the more and more advanced age of pregnancy in western countries, is rare. The diagnosis is often delayed explaining the high frequency of advanced stages. However, the prognosis seems similar in pregnant women and in the general population, underlining the absence of negative impact of pregnancy on colorectal cancer. No consensual care exists to date for these patients. Therapeutic actions will depend on the term of pregnancy, the wish of the parents and the stage of the cancer at diagnosis and its necessity for an urgent treatment or not. A multidisciplinary approach involving surgeons, hepatogastroenterologists, oncologists, psychologists, obstetricians and pediatricians ideally in a referral center, is here essential for the patient care.
