Filling in gaps in our knowledge of the subject, this Maryland (USA) study provides a first estimation of the impact of extreme heat and precipitation events on the risk of Campylobacter infections. Two factors specific to this area affect this risk and illustrate the need to consider all the elements linked to the local context to effectively protect people's health.
