Answers

(1) The most commonly adopted definition is the one proposed by Lhatoo et al. (2010), as the immediate postictal (within 30 seconds) generalized absence of EEG activity <10μV in amplitude, allowing for muscle, movement, breathing, and electrode artefacts.

(2) Seizure type. PGES has been more commonly observed following convulsive seizures as compared with focal seizures.

(3) Recorded SUDEP cases were found prone in their beds. PI could prevent adequate body and head repositioning, which are necessary for optimal airflow and could lead to post-ictal cardiorespiratory dysfunction and death.
