Acquired idiopathic generalised anhidrosis (AIGA) is a rare disorder characterised by systemic an/hypohidrosis, without autonomic/somatic nervous dysfunction [1, 2]. The pathogenesis is classified into three groups: idiopathic pure sudomotor failure (IPSF), sudomotor neuropathy, and sweat gland failure [2]. Cholinergic urticaria and heat retention are induced by AIGA.Systemic administration of corticosteroid has been widely used as treatment for AIGA, which is reported to restore sweating [3].
