Linear immunoglobulin A disease, also known as linear IgA bullous dermatosis (LABD), is an autoimmune subepidermal blistering disease characterized by linear IgA deposits at the basement membrane zone (BMZ) based on direct immunofluorescence (DIF). IgA autoantibodies to the 120-kDa and 97-kDa shed ectodomains of type XVII collagen (COL17, BP180) are most frequently detected.
