Before surgery, the EEG showed left temporal spikes during hyperventilation that could spread to the right side. The patient did not experience any psychotic symptoms at this time.

Three months after surgery, the patient experienced acute psychosis and the EEG showed rare left temporal spikes, mostly during hyperventilation (reduced in comparison with figure 1).
