Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a DNA virus belonging to the Herpesviridae family, which causes various diseases with diverse symptoms, such as pneumonia, hepatitis, meningitis, retinitis, gastrointestinal ulcers, and cutaneous ulcers, especially in immunocompromised patients.
