Conventional methods, including cryotherapy abrasion, have been employed in the treatment of pigmented skin lesions such as Ota's nevus and other pigmented nevi. However, these methods require a great deal of skill and are of limited clinical effectiveness. In addition, scars often develop on the treated lesions [1, 2].
