Histopathology showed a thrombosed vein at the dermal-subdermal junction (Fig. 3, arrows). An inflammatory infiltrate of lymphocytes, histiocytes, neutrophils and giant cells was present both in the thrombus and in the vessel walls (Fig. 3).
