A 12-year-old girl presented with a three-year history of painful ulceration of the sole of the right foot. No history of trauma was reported. Physical examination revealed an indurated plantar nodule, measuring 2 cm in diameter, centred by an ulceration of 5 mm with hyperkeratotic borders (figure 1A).
