A 42-year-old Japanese woman presented with systemic skin sclerosis and erythema as well as back erosions in July 2012. She had developed intractable oral aphtha 8 years before. Depigmentation, which appeared on the neck and axilla, was resistant to narrow-band ultraviolet B therapy (nbUVB) during a previous clinic visit in 2005.
