Hyperimmunoglobulin E syndrome (HIES) is a congenital disorder characterized by high serum IgE, chronic eczematoid dermatitis, and recurrent infections particularly of the skin and the respiratory tract [1]. The most common bacterial pathogen in this disease is Staphylococcus aureus.
