Blau syndrome/early-onset sarcoidosis (BS/EOS) is an autoinflammatory disease caused by mutations of the NOD2 gene [1, 2]. It is characterized by granulomatous arthritis, uveitis and skin lesions [2]. The symptoms typically develop in infancy. The skin lesions often disappear spontaneously with increasing age, although arthritis and uveitis associated with BS/EOS seem to have a progressive course.
