Rosacea fulminans, previously known as pyoderma faciale, is a rare and severe form of rosacea characterized by the sudden eruption of coalescing papules and pustules. In this condition, large cystic nodules are primarily limited to the face of young women [1]. Although the etiology is unknown, immunological, hormonal and vascular factors have been suggested [1].
