In addition to CD95-ligand (CD95L) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), a new member of the apoptosis inducing ligands of the TNF family was discovered recently and named TNF-related-apoptosis-inducing-ligand (TRAIL) [1]/Apo-2 ligand (Apo2-L) [2]/TL2.
