INTRODUCTION The association of the Src family protein tyrosine kinase (PTK) Lck with the interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R) beta-chain has been reported by several groups [1, 2]. Lck interacts with the acidic domain of IL-2R beta-chain, and this interaction is necessary for Lck activation upon IL-2 stimulation [1-6].
