L’utilisation de thérapies ciblées anti‐EGFR se développe pour la prise en charge des cancers du poumon non à petites cellules avancés. Après des résultats encourageants en phases I et II [1], deux phases III (Intact 1 en Europe, Intact 2 aux États‐Unis) ont été lancées pour tester l’association du gefitinib (ZD1839, Iressa®) avec la chimiothérapie en première ligne de traitement. Les patients inclus étaient atteints de cancer pulmonaire non à petites cellules (dont une moitié d’adénocarcinomes dans les deux études), de stade III non opérable ou stade IV.
