The aim of the research was to study the wind as agent of erosion in the Nefzaoua region of south-west Tunisia. Observations carried out over five years at the IRA meteorological station at Atilet (Kébili) demonstrated that Nefzaoua may be considered as a windy region, especially during spring and summer. Furthermore, active winds from the east, north-east, north an north-west were found to predominate over those from the south, south-west ant south-east, resulting in wind dynamics orientated towards the west and south-west.
