Summary : Smoking related cardiovascular morbidity and mortality will continue to be a health problem in France if health professionals do not intervene and provide treatment for their smoking patients. This review will examine the issues of treatment for tobacco dependence in patients with cardiovascular problems. The issues of when to intervene and what kind of new treatment to offer in 2002 will be discussed. |
