Médecine Thérapeutique / médecine de la reproduction. Volume 9, Number 6, 399-402, Novembre-Décembre 2007, Revue

Résumé   Article gratuit

Author(s) : Brigitte Leroy-Martin

Summary : Since Assisted Reproductive techniques (ART) began, human have always tried to push away clinical and biological limits to help sterile couples. In the absence of male or female gametes donation still represents an alternative option. However, even when gametes are available, the success of ART encounters limits : spermatozoa limits or oocyte limits and their consequences on embryonic development. Focusing on the biological limits today allow an awareness of techniques evolution since thirty years and an evaluation of future solutions in ART failures.

Keywords : ART, limits, techniques, spermatozoa, oocyte
