PCOS, metabolic syndrome and infertility

Summary : The Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is closely correlated with insulin resistance, whose clinical expression is the Metabolic Syndrome. This review shows both the importance of evaluating it in patients with PCOS and other various modalities of treatment (lifestyle and dietary rules, insulin sensitizers) in order to improve cardiovascular outcomes and fertility of these patients.
