Summary : Knee osteoarthritis is the most common indication. Infectious causes have become rare and are always an important risk factor before prosthesis. The results of total knee arthroplasty in terms of recovery speed, gain on mobility and efficiency on the pain, has not stopped improving for 30 years. The evolution of the installation techniques and quality of knee surgeons allow results which are excellent in most cases with the recovery of a normal function for a long time.
