Systemic approach to re-contact between the child victim and the incestuous father

l'Information Psychiatrique. Volume 88, Number 3, 209-18, Mars 2012, Pathologie des interactions parents-enfants

Résumé   Texte intégral

Author(s) : Emmanuel de Becker, Stéphane Chapelle

Summary : Incestual situations hardly leave professionals indifferent, either in their aspects of management or as regards protection of children in the various questions raised on the etiopathogenesis level. Frequently, after a crisis linked to disclosure, when the link is not broken, a distance is established between the incestuous parent and the child victim. Based on a clinical description, this article develops a perspective on the relational issues involving the main protagonists: the child, father, mother or any siblings. By referring to the systemic epistemology, the authors propose some principles for therapeutic support.

Keywords : incest, systemic theory, father-daughter relationship, family interview, siblings, case report, therapeutic support
