Summary : This article proposes to study the effects of a borderline personality parent on the interactions between mothers who are affected and their young children, based on the current theoretical knowledge and data in the literature. Due to their symptoms and their often traumatic childhood history, access to parenting of mothers with borderline personality disorder is complex, resulting in their children being significantly at a higher risk of developing emotional, behavioural or psychiatric dysfunction. This research aims to design an original support programme for these mothers and their children, in partnership with the Maternal and Child Protection Programme of the Haute-Garonne geographical area. |
