Perversion and the elderly

l'Information Psychiatrique. Volume 88, Number 1, 29-38, Janvier 2012, Perversions (1)

Résumé   Texte intégral

Author(s) : Georges Jovelet

Summary : What is perverse behaviour in the elderly? Can we talk about perverse developments in a neurotic subject who is confronted with changes during senescence to object relations and narcissism, or does it concern subjects with a perverse nature altered by age? This is the clinical question we will address in this study generated by the theme of the last SIP congress. In Freudian metapsychology, the child is a polymorphous perverse, who, in the advanced age of life creates a relationship other than that based on drive or instinctual desire? We discuss clinical situations, which illustrate this question. Relationship problems or acting out are often too quickly attributed to mood disorders, or cognitive impairment. This problem in the elderly is poorly known in the scientific literature as clinical practice.

Keywords : perversion, elderly person, clinical case, case report, behaviour, desire, manipulation, narcissism, acting out, psyche, psychology, instinct, regression, seduction, perversión, persona mayor de edad, caso clínico, comportamiento, deseo, manipulación, narcisismo, paso al acto, psiquismo, psicología, pulsión, regresión, seducción
