The bioethics debate

l'Information Psychiatrique. Volume 87, Number 7, 551-5, Septembre 2011, Bioéthique, éthique et psychiatrie

Résumé   Texte intégral

Author(s) : Louis Dubouis

Summary : Human bioethics is in perpetual debate because, above all we constantly question its basic concept. If the protective function of the individual is not challenged, we at least continue to question the meaning of human dignity, which is its foundation, as well as the type of protection that can be expected from the rule of law designed to insist on compliance with recognized principles of bioethics in our societies.

Keywords : definition, bioethics, biomedical research, ethics, morality, law, human dignity
