Delirium and Polycetemia Vera

Summary : Delirium is a clinical syndrome which is particularly common in the elderly and is characterized by acute attention and cognition disorder due to one or several causes. Establishing the diagnosis must be considered an emergency. We report in this study, the case of patient who presented with delirium caused by polycetemia vera. Through this case report and a review of the literature, we underline the importance of a rapid diagnosis to avoid a delay that could be prejudicial.
