Summary : This article presents comparative study between two types of alcohol dependence, chronic and intermittent alcoholism regarding external perceived reality (attributions, alcohol expectancies, coping, locus of control, life events). The current alcohol-dependence concept does not seem to accurately consider specificities of these behaviours. However, do they belong to the same psychopathologic unit? Results show particular relationship to the world: withdrawal for chronic subjects, and emotional overflowing for intermittent patients. |
