Summary : On the evening of December 30, 2004, the Republica de Cromañón, a former nightclub which was transformed into a concert hall, in the centre of the shopping district of Once in Buenos Aires, became a death trap in which 194 people died. The so called Cromañón event revealed a society where the rules governing corrupt officials and building contractors who are too concerned about their own profits, results in a complex criminal infrastructure. |
