Psychosis and pregnancy

Summary : The problems of psychotic disorders and pregnancy can be formulated according to two main dimensions: pre-existing pregnancy disorders i.e. mainly schizophrenias and mood disorders, which present specific problems, in particular as regards the chemotherapeutic treatment\; and new disorders which begin during the perinatal period, i.e. mainly represented by puerperal psychoses for which primary and secondary prevention are crucial.
