FNAPSY, (National Federation of Patients in Psychiatry), its history, its actions

l'Information Psychiatrique. Volume 85, Number 9, 799-802, novembre 2009, Soignés/soignants, les lignes bougent…

Résumé   Article gratuit

Author(s) : Claude Finkelstein

Summary : FNAPSY regroups 8,000 members, from all types of pathologies taken together. It is made up of associations managed by its end-users, which although contributes legitimacy and pertinence, complicates its functioning due to the fragility of its members. Taking into consideration the specificity of psychiatry, representation of end-users by themselves is essential, as third parties may induce biases and conflicts of interest.

Keywords : mental health end-users, representation of end-users, FNAPSY
