A Report on the First Schizophrenia International Research Society Conference (SIRSC), Venice, Italy, 21-25 June 2008

Summary : More than 200 oral communications and 700 poster communications were presented, all concerning the most recent advances and addressing the most complex characteristics of schizophrenia. The First SIRSC congress was considered a success. It is not possible to report on the results of this meeting. We will limit our report to the major themes that were most frequently discussed: genetics, cerebral imagery and the relationship between psychosis and cannabis.
