Child and adolescent psychiatry today: access to treatment via paediatricians

Summary : The author elaborates on the concept of liaison psychiatry in the light of her clinical experience of different paediatric situations. She shows that it is vital to maintain access to child psychiatric care through paediatric channels, thus preserving access to care for children who would not otherwise benefit from this speciality.
