Current recommendations on screening and diagnosis of autism in France

Médecine thérapeutique / Pédiatrie. Volume 15, Number 3, 231-6, Juillet-Août-Septembre 2012, Dossier

Résumé   Texte intégral

Author(s) : Amaria Baghdadli

Summary : Infant autism and other autism spectrum disorders occur early in childhood and remain a long time thereafter. Since 2005, their high prevalence and pervasiveness, which give rise to public health concerns as well as a diversity of professional health care practices, have led to several recommendations being made. This article gives an overview of these recommendations, particularly those proposed by the HAS on screening and diagnosis of autism in children, as well as those by the ANESM recommending criteria for the effectiveness of therapeutic and educational interventions.

Keywords : autism, screening, diagnosis, recommendations
