First-line treatments in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC): the best option for a preferential multilines strategy

Summary : This review traces the different therapeutic options proposed in first-line mCRC. An optimal first-line has to provide the best efficacy, an acceptable toxicity profil and surgery of metastases when possible. It has to be defined and integrated in a multilines strategy, using each active drug in sequential therapeutic schedules.
