Summary : PET-FDG scintigraphy clearly improves the management of digestive tract cancers, complementary to morphological imaging, leading to a significant impact on treatment and prognosis. Best indications are the diagnosis of disease extension of colorectal cancers (CRC), especially for liver metastatic resecability, localization of suspected recurrences when CEA is raising in blood, and diagnosis of malignancy of pancreatic masses. |
