Summary : Dynamic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the pelvic floor allows a functional and anatomic analysis of female pelvic floor dysfunction that can guide the therapeutic management of these patients.This review describes the current indications for MRI and gives a detailed description of the techniques and MRI features of the main causes of pelvic floor dysfunction.This review also emphasizes the need for a close collaboration between clinicians and radiologists working together in multidisciplinary health care teams specialising in pelviperineology. |
