Summary : A 27-year-old Caucasian woman was admitted to our Institute because of a nodular lesion localized on the sole of the left foot. The patient stated that she was in good general health, that she was not on any medication and that she had just returned a few days earlier from a trip to Madagascar, where the nodular lesion had probably developed. The lesion was round, 0.5 cm in diameter, yellowish in colour, with well-defined borders (Fig. 1), hard in consistency and painful. It was diagnosed by the patient's general doctor as a viral wart. |
