The positioning and the behavior of the interns of general medicine (IMG) with regard to the health problems of their relatives are not studied nor even discussed during the medical training. Yet, this question represents one of the aspects of the professional maturation specific to each one, as part of the hidden curriculum of becoming a doctor. This mixed cross-sectional study (quantitative and qualitative) with general medicine interns from the Department of General Medicine Paris Diderot showed that almost all the respondents had already been questioned by a family member for a health problem and had encountered practical difficulties.
