Confidentiality is a legal and ethical obligation for all doctors. It allows you to establish a relationship of trust with your patient. Several studies show that it is not always respected in the offices of general practitioners. The purpose of our study was to understand the reasons for this. General practitioners are aware that respecting confidentiality is not optimal in their practice; they identify a multifactorial origin to its rupture, not limiting it to an inadequate layout of the premises.
