In France, there is an increase in Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), especially among those at risk, users of anonymous and free screening centers (CDAG). These consultants, mainly young, often multi-partner, feel little informed about STIs, sometimes over-informed. After information received in schools, there are still false ideas about HIV infection (transmission, prognosis) and lack of knowledge of other STIs. Despite the fear of HIV, they use less condom, do not consider themselves at risk because of the trust in their partner and deplore the taboo character of the STIs in their couple. Screening, often deferred for fear of outcome, used as a prevention strategy, is considered more effective than vaccines that are feared. The anonymity of the CDAG is preferred to the risk of judgment of the general practitioner.
