About Two Patients with Unusual Presentation of Tophaceous Gout Volume 32, issue 3, Septembre 2016

Authors

We report the case of two patients with an unusual presentation of tophaceous gout. For one, tophaceous gout mimicked septic arthritis. After surgery, histological examination confirmed the presence of sodium urate crystals. The patient has not returned. For the second patient, the gout mimicked expansive tumor process. Hyperuricemia and lesional characteristics imaging have tipped in favor of the drop. The treatment was medical and there was no recurrence.
