Complications Involving Tendons in the Fractures of the Ankle: about 3 Cases with a Review of the Literature Volume 36, issue 2, Juin 2020

The fractures of the ankle are very frequent in traumatology. They generally get healed without difficulty and most of the time the functional and radiological outcome is very satisfying. Nevertheless some complications may occur due to the trauma or the procedure: cutaneous, neurovascular or tendinous. The complications involving the tendons are rare but they are to be kept in mind before, during or after the surgical procedure. We have reported three different complications of the tendon structures occurring during the treatment of a bimalleolar fracture of the ankle.
