In front of an unsuitable consummation of antitetanic immunoglobulins, we wanted to show the interest of a quick diagnostic test (Tetanos Quick Stick®) to display the immunoprotection in a emergency practice. Our study's purpose is to analyse the cost reduction inducing by the systematic use of this test: 89 patients were included, with a tetanic risk wound and without any proof of a right vaccination status; 39.3% of these patients were non-immunized with a negative test result; most of them were women (61.9%) and elderly people (83.3%). Immunoglobulins' consummation decreased of 60%. The systematic use of the Tetanos Quick-Stick® allowed a more reasonable prescription of antitetanic immunoglobulins and a saving of 873 |CE enclosing tests' cost for the period of the study.
