The target of our study is to evaluate the rate of hospital admissions in relation to drug adverse effects and volontary drug intoxications in an emergency ward during 12 months. 3,9 % of hospital admissions are following upon adverse drug effects. They affect young adults with a feminine predominance. The benzodiazepine are implicated most frequently in volontary intoxications. 2,5 % of the hospital admissions are in relation to drug adverse effects. They affect elderly adults. The cardiovascular drugs are the most frequently implicated in adverse effects. The results of our study are similar to other studies.
