The impact of select pharmacist’ interventions on inpatient care were assessed by two physicians in our institution. We reported 84 interventions in patient drug therapy over a time period of two weeks in two departments. 18 of theses interventions were deemed significant in terms of having clinical impact for the patient and were subjected to an independant blind review by two practicing physicians. Each physician was given the same ranking system with 4 steps from 0 to 3 and was asked to give a score to each intervention realised by the pharmacist. Of the 18 interventions assessed by the two physicians, 15 where judged to have a significant effect on the patient and his therapy. Higher scores corresponded to dose adjustements for treatment having a renal or haematological toxicity.
