In this article, we wanted once again to assess the problem of the Diogenes syndrome. First, we performed a review of the literature. Then we explored the most recent physiopathological explanations, those of frontal dysfunction. The physiopathological hypotheses are still too few to be significant. Therefore, we preferred to aim towards a psychopathological model. We previously described Diogenes as an alteration of the skin-ego. Furthermore, we propose to consider Diogenes as a lost work of art.
