The former Head of the Henri Claude Clinic (1869-1945), Henri Ey throughout his career generously provided a teaching program and presentation of patients at St. Anne's Hospital between the Magnan amphitheater and the library he had organized. The “Wednesdays at St. Anne's” attracted, under the pretext of preparation for the medical curriculum, a polymorphous and international public fascinated by his clinical know-how and his theoretical questions that earned him to be admirably nicknamed “the Pope of psychiatry” and the “Magnan1 of our time”.
