In countries already affected by water shortage, climate change is yet another threat to food safety. Although the use of wastewater to irrigate crops seems unavoidable, the authors of this article warn against the uncontrolled use of raw or partially treated water as the only solution to a problem that requires a holistic adaptation strategy.
