Figure 1 Myoclonic status epilepticus documented by video-EEG, including polygraphy (bilateral extensor digitorum communis), with subcontinuous positive and negative myoclonus involving the upper limbs. The EEG tracing shows the activation of sustained epileptic activity consisting of bilateral generalised spike or polyspike-and-wave discharges which persist until the administration of iv lorazepam (see video sequence).
